Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in

Our Mission:

We raise up emergent leaders who deploy whole-system, regenerative strategies through immersive learning in embedded community contexts.

BAM Camps use gardens as a learning tool and framework for making sense of the world. BAM campers engage with nature in immersive learning environments, building a foundation of interwoven skills in order to tackle big problems at a hands-on scale. BAM is where whole-picture thinking, consciously unconventional problem-solving, civic engagement, and muddy hands collide.

As you prepare to come and serve as a volunteer at BAM Camp, we want you to stop and think. Take a few minutes and look beyond your life today and what will happen tomorrow for you. You are telling us you are ready, willing, and able to commit the campers that will be coming to camp this year. Each of our campers is seeking a new, enjoyable, and long sought after opportunity to grow outside the normal boundaries of their everyday existence. You are the conduit that can provide them with nurturing, love, ambition, compassion, praise, grace, and mercy. Without your commitment to be here for them, they will not see what they can do, what they can hope to be, and how they can grow with your love, care, and guidance. You will be their encourager, and you will also grow and feel the blessings of your service.
